Baseball
I was walking to the 7-11 a while ago and saw a damaged baseball on the side of the road. On the way back, I picked it up and took it home with me. This baseball is not like the baseballs I remember from my youth, which were quite hard and covered with horsehide, and if the pitcher were to bean you you would definitely know it.
No, this baseball is soft and squishy. It claims to be a Rawlings "Official T-Ball", whatever that is. It claims to be an "indoor-outdoor training ball", and to have a synthetic leather cover. At least, I can't see anything printed on it which says that it is made in China.
What is wrong with our country? I've never been any good at baseball, but have always respected those who are good at it. It is, after all, our National Game.
Baseballs should be baseballs, not soft and squishy. The kids will just have to take their chances, if they wish to play the game.
